Baguio
Baguio City, is a mountain resort city located in Northern Luzon, Philippines. It is known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines, owing to its cool climate since the city is located approximately 1,540 meters (5,050 feet) above sea level in the Luzon tropical pine forests ecoregion, which also makes it conducive for the growth of mossy plants and orchids.
Ilocos
Ilocos collectively refers to two provinces in the Philippines: Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur which used to be a single province. Inhabitants are called Ilocanos and they speak the language Iloko, also called Ilocano.
The Ilocos Region, containing four provinces, is named after Ilocos. 56 percent of the inhabitants of the region are Pangasinan people, who belong to a different ethnolinguistic group from the Ilocanos. Ilocos may also refer to the former province before Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur were divided.
Palawan
Nothing defines Palawan more than the water around it. With seascapes the equal of any in Southeast Asia, and terrestrial and aquatic wildlife, the Philippines’ most sparsely populated region is also the most beguiling. Because of the silhouette of its main island – a long sliver stretching 650km all the way to Borneo – there’s a certain liberating logic to travel here.
